Lasso tool in Adobe Photoshop helps us to select the image area or pixels in a customize manner. There are three kind of lasso tools are in Photoshop. Normal lasso tool , Polygonal Lasso tool and magnetic lasso tool. Normal lasso tool is for a rough selection or I would rather say for small area selection, as whenever you leave the mouse button the selection will lost. I generally prefer this tool to refine a selection area.
Next comes the polygonal Lasso tool. This is the mostly used selection tool between the three where I can click and put a point and then release my mouse and again click somewhere else. one negative point is there for this tool you cannot make the line between two point as smooth one you have to adjust with the straight line.
The third type of lasso is the magnetic lasso. This lasso is really helpful for a fast and rough selection according to the edge of colors. Use this lasso for an area with common color very quickly and then you can use the normal lasso tool to add more area or subtract few to refine it.
